The stabiliser fins counteract the roll movements of the ship when sailing.
The stabiliser fins are fitted on both sides of the ship at the turn of the bilge approx. 3.5 m above the keel and at the aft end of hold
They are mounted at an angle of 25° with horizontal and when not in use, they are retracted into the ship’s hull. In use, the angle of attack of the fins is varied and this variation is measured continuously.
